    The primary purpose of this position is to work with the Manager Regulatory Compliance to manage DeVry University (DVU) compliance with internal guidelines, policies and procedures designed to ensure compliance with applicable designed to meet federal and state regulatory and accreditor requirements critical to maintaining continuous operating approvals.

    Responsibilities

    • Works with manager to ensure the organization is operating in compliance with internal guidelines, policies and procedures in major risk areas, including: advertising and marketing, enrollment management, academics, student finance, student services, and career services and other requirements of postsecondary education.
    • Ensures that required state and federal disclosures related to business and educational institution appear as required in catalogs, handbooks, enrollment materials, student communications, employee communications, web sites and social media posts.
    • Ensures that internal and external communications are developed and delivered in compliance with internal guidelines, policies and procedures designed to meet federal and state regulatory and accreditor requirements, including marketing materials, academic catalogs, student handbooks, webpages, phone scripts, student and prospect emails/communications, etc.
    • Assists with writing, reviewing and editing enrollment materials.
    • Maintains the organization’s Regulatory Alert communication process.
    • Reviews and approves new program Notice of Intent Forms submitted by Academics to ensure that they align with gainful employment parameters and meet any occupational licensure requirements
    • Works with and advises colleagues in all departments/functions to ensure reports, materials and communications are developed in compliance with internal guidelines, policies and procedures designed to meet federal and state regulatory and accreditor requirements
    • Collaborates with Internal Audit as they develop and execute testing to evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of compliance controls.
    • Monitors implementation of corrective action plans to ensure that areas of non-compliance are addressed timely and accurately; escalates unresolved items to manager as needed.

    Completes other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

     - Bachelor’s degree required
     - At least 2 years of experience in a federal/state regulated environment; experience in higher education regulatory compliance preferred
     - Excellent organizational, interpersonal, critical thinking, analytical, verbal and written communication skills
     - Is a detail-oriented problem-solver
     - Can demonstrate a consistently great work ethic in a high productivity environment
     - Can travel 10%
     - Experience with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel and internet applications.
     - Writing samples required
