    The Student Support Advisor makes a significant contribution to the success of our students by advising them in two critical areas: Financial Aid and Academics.

    Our students will rely on you as their partner and primary resource for information about the financial and academic resources available to help them throughout their academic program. It takes a special set of skills and experience to be effective in these two distinct areas, so we want to meet with people who have passion for education, exceptional organizational and communication skills, and solid commitment to consistently providing exceptional service.

    In this role you will:


    • Provide academic and financial aid advisement to new and continuing students throughout their academic program until graduation
    • Use exceptional discretion and independent judgment to evaluate each student’s academic and financial profile to develop, recommend and implement a personalized plan that will promote their engagement and success
    • Demonstrate comprehensive expertise in all components of Title IV (federal financial aid) regulations and our corresponding policies and procedures
    • Proactively review and evaluate student academic and financial plans consistently throughout enrollment
    • Ensure that student financial and academic account information is current, accurate and complete
    • Identify risk factors that may impact students’ academic progress and collaborate with colleagues to address challenges and recommend plans of action to overcome them
    • Analyze reports and student feedback to identify academic or financial issues which may impact progress and create an action plan to effectively address these concerns
    • Collaborate with colleagues across departments to ensure a consistently outstanding educational experience for our deserving students



    You are encouraged to explore this opportunity if you:

    • Have earned a Bachelor’s Degree (Required).
    • Have worked in higher education for at least one year (or have similar directly-relevant experience)
    • Have solid administrative skills and are willing to follow detailed processes consistently in a compliance-driven, highly regulated environment
    • Have experience working with student financial aid software (preferred)
    • Have outstanding customer service skills
    • Have no student loans in default status
    • Have an impeccable work ethic and hold yourself accountable to the highest ethical standards
    • Are able to craft and deliver well-written, compelling messages to our students and colleagues
    • Have exceptional strong interpersonal, communication and problem solving skills
    • Have the proven ability to effectively manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously in a deadline-driven, fast paced setting as part of a high-performing team
