Opportunity at a Glance

As part of the Creative Marketing team, the Creative Marketing Intern will work with project managers and Creative Director/Associate Creative Director and be responsible for print and digital creative and brand development. Another goal of this position is to provide a learning experience and introduction into the operations of a creative marketing department in an educational organization.

 

An understanding of Creative Marketing with any hands-on experience (i.e. graphic design and layout, UI/UX design, Adobe CC software, photography retouching, etc.) is valuable knowledge for being able to learn and contribute quickly.

Responsibilities

  • Attend project kick-offs and understand strategic objectives.
  • Take direction from written or spoken ideas and convert them seamlessly into images, layouts and other designs.
  • Work simultaneously on multiple projects based on workload.
  • Reflect the brand’s visual identity when it comes to fonts, colors, photography, etc.
  • Strong typography and design layout skills.
  • Design logos, graphics, or various supporting visuals.
  • Search for royalty-free photography in our Getty Images subscription.
  • Knowledge of dynamic and static ad templates for Social sites like FB, LinkedIn and Instagram.
  • Build mockups for revised or new web page content on devry.edu website.
  • UI/UX experience and understanding dynamic response a plus.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of junior status in good standing
  • Minimum 3.0 overall grade point average.
  • Graphic/Web Designer majors strongly encouraged to apply.
  • Strong Adobe CC and Microsoft Excel and Word proficiency.
  • Must have aptitude for attending to details and highly value accuracy.
  • Exceptional teamwork skills will be valuable in this role.
  • Able to receive constructive feedback from Creative Director and Associate Creative Director.
