In this role, you will: 

  • Tutor students in math from arithmetic up through calculus and statistics
  • Assist students from a diverse population, both onsite and virtually via video conferencing technologies
  • Help assess the academic needs of students and develop effective plans for remediation
  • Interpret and review homework and test outcomes with students
  • Maintain documentation on student remediation plans, processes and success
  • Demonstrates current, detailed, and accurate knowledge of the field of mathematics
  • Document and communicates students’ outcomes and progress to leadership
  • Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of our degree programs, accurately and effectively communicating academic policies and regulations to students
  • Consistently demonstrate effective behaviors and accountability in meeting the following standards of service excellence to students, colleagues, and the community: Friendliness and courtesy, professional environment, effective communication, and first-class service.


You are encouraged to explore this opportunity if you have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from a regionally accredited college or university
  • At least 1-year experience in tutoring, training, instruction, advising, academic support services or classroom instruction is required
  • Genuine passion for math, education, and lifelong learning
  • Exceptional subject matter expertise with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Are eager to serve students and colleagues with passion, respect, and care
  • Operate with a sense of responsibility and purpose with the desire to enrich colleagues, students and the broader community
